Madesimo and surroundings

Madesimo is a ski resort located near the border with Switzerland on the foothills of northern Italy. The ski area with its 50 km of trails also reach Campodolcino, Motta and Val di Lei. In recent years there has been a real revolution with many new systems that reveal a desire to raise with great effort the ski resort. 4 quad chairs covered with automatic coupling, two six-seater chair lifts, a gondola to eight seats and the first underground funicular in Italy. A cable car and several other chairlifts complete the lighting system, still under major modernization projects. Very spectacular slopes for alpine skiing in Val di Lei and those that descend from Colmenetta while to experts recommend Gully, well known for its beauty and its difficulty. For those to whom the day is not enough, Skiarea Valchiavenna also offers the opportunity to ski at night on Saturday night and on Wednesday evening with the opening evening of the gondola Larches with the opportunity to dine on arrival of the plant to Rifugio Larici.
